Daiso Japan and Standard Products to Open at Westfield Chatswood

Sydney's newest Japanese lifestyle destination brings two iconic brands under one roof.

Sydney, Australia – Daiso Japan and its sister brand Standard Products will open a dual-concept store at Westfield Chatswood on Saturday, 4 July 2026, bringing a taste of Japanese culture and design to Sydney's north shore.

The store brings together two complementary experiences: Daiso's vibrant range of homeware, beauty, stationery, snacks and seasonal finds, and Standard Products' minimal, design-led approach to everyday living.

"Chatswood's appreciation for Japanese culture and lifestyle made it a natural home for this concept," said a spokesperson from Daiso and Standard Products. "We can't wait to welcome the community in."

The Chatswood store marks the brand's second Sydney dual-concept location, following the successful 2024 launch at Westfield Parramatta, and builds on a growing national presence that includes Melbourne Midtown and Westfield Belconnen, Canberra, which opened in late 2025.

To celebrate the grand opening, the first 100 customers in line at the Level 5 store entrance from 10am on Saturday 4 July will receive a complimentary Daiso tote bag and Japanese snack, while the first 100 customers to spend over $50 will take home the bestselling Standard Products tote bag. Celebrations continue throughout the opening weekend with additional giveaways.
